Benefits of meditation and mindfulness
Body
We spend so much time in our heads. Practising a mindfulness exercise like a guided body scan can help you reconnect to your body and be aware of your senses and environment with acceptance and non-judgment.
Mind
We all have tens of thousands of thoughts running through our minds all the time. This constant mind chatter can become overwhelming leading to stress and anxiety. Meditation and mindfulness exercises can help to quiet our busy minds.
Emotions
Meditation helps us be more compassionate, creatively expressive, better able to manage our reactions to stress, and helps us recover more quickly from challenging events. The ability to be able to regulate our emotions is key to our happiness.
Spirit
Living a life of purpose helps us to live a fulfilling and rewarding life. Knowing ourselves enables us to find our purpose, achieve our highest potential, and become the best version of ourselves. Meditation naturally leads us to a deep awareness and understanding of self.
Soothe your nervous system
Meditation is scientifically proven to calm down our sympathetic nervous system (stress response) and activate our parasympathetic nervous system (rest and relax response) which has profound benefits on our mind and body's functionality.
