Finding stability and balance with regular practice

About me

I am an externally accredited and registered British School of Meditation (BSoM) Meditation Teacher. For many years I have immersed myself in different styles of meditation and experienced the profound benefits of this practice. I’m also a Reiki Master practitioner, accredited by the Complementary and Natural Health Council (CNHC).

I meditate and reiki myself daily as it is important that I practice what I am sharing with others. I’m passionate about helping others to find their inner calm and become the best version of themselves.

My story

I grew up with my younger brother meditating every day and although it intrigued me, I didn’t even consider actually doing it until some 20 years later. I wish I had joined him back then as I may have made better life choices with the challenges that came my way.

After experiencing a prolonged time of stress and anxiety, I sought out healthy ways to cope. Deep belly breathing, chanting meditation, and reiki became a lifeline and also helped me begin healing from long held trauma.

Meditation deeply relaxed me and helped release the stress and tension in my body and settle my incessant mind chatter. I discovered belly breathing and chanting meditation which resonated well with me. I found focussing on one word, and the vibrations from the sound of saying that word out loud, completely retuned my mind and body. For the last 10 years, I've had a varied daily practice that includes different types of meditation and mindfulness practices, and self-reiki.

The biggest benefit of meditation for me is letting go and being in the present moment, and experiencing a feeling of blissful inner peace and interconnectedness.
